Holy Noticing

Date to be confirmed

Susanna Hinton 2

Walking is recognised to be good for mind, body and spirit.  The physical exercise, close contact with nature, the joys of discovering new places, experiences along the way all contribute to help our mental health and our personal wellbeing.

Susanna Hinton is our guest speaker for this conversation.  She runs a walking business, Feet of Faith, which offers personalised retreats in the Yorkshire Dales.  She also works as the Renew Wellbeing facilitator for the Northern Baptist Association.  Renew Wellbeing provides safe cafe spaces for people to find support and companionship to help improve their mental health, places where 'it's OK to not be OK'.

Susanna will focus on the importance of retreat, taking time out with God, out of which flows an improvement in our overall wellbeing. It's something which she is particularly keen to get across to people in full time paid Christian ministry, who too often push Sabbath to the bottom of the pile. Of course, we all need it, so it's not just for Christian ministers!

The Pilgrim Conversation will last for about an hour to an hour and a quarter, depending upon how many participants join the conversation.  It will feature a presentation from Susanna, some dialogue with Paul Revill, who has set up Pilgrim Pathways, and then space for you to ask your own questions and make comments.

This conversation costs £5.
