Safeguarding Policy

The aim of Pilgrim Pathways is to provide walks and conversations which enable others to enjoy pilgrimage journeys.  Our activities aim to foster greater health and wellbeing of body, mind and spirit for all our participants.

In fulfilling these aims, Pilgrim Pathways undertakes to create and provide:

A Valuing of everyone: We respect and value all who participate in our events and aim to ensure and promote their safety and wellbeing.

A Safe Environment: We are committed to ensuring that our activities are well researched, risk-assessed, organised and managed.

A Safe Community: We aim to grow a pilgrimage community at each event which will care for and attend to the needs of everyone in the group, showing respect and value to each individual.

Safe Partnerships: We will work in partnership with providers who have a proven track record of good practice, care and quality in delivering their services.

Prevention of Abuse: We organise events in such a way as to minimise circumstances where abuse may take place, especially when working one to one with another participant.

Please note that Pilgrim Pathways does not work with children or adults at risk unless they are accompanied by a responsible adult or carer.
