Longer Pilgrimages
These offer a walk over a longer distance than a day's walk. They last from a few days to a week, covering distances of between 10 and 15 miles a day. These walks enable the participant to settle into a slower rhythm of life, a simpler routine and a calmer inner self.
Each route may naturally offer a theme for the pilgrimage, due to the places visited and the landscape traversed. Other subjects for reflection may crop up or be introduced along the way. Accommodation is either in a central location, with transport being organised to the start and finish of each day's walk; or else different accommodation is organised for the start and end of each day's walk and your baggage is transferred between them.
Routes which we follow include St Oswald's Way, St Cuthbert's Way and the Northern Saints Trails in the North East, and the Glastonbury Water Way and Revived English Camino in the West of England. These will be offered from summer 2024 onwards.
