Bristol Cathedral Lent Walk
Friday 14th March 2025 - 8 Miles / 4 Hours
The second in our Lent series is a more urban walk but includes two cathedrals and some dramatic landscapes and historic structures.
This walk starts at the riverside settlement of Sea Mills, downstream of the spectacular Avon Gorge. Passing along the gorge, we climb up to the open space of Clifton Down, before visiting the striking twentieth century Roman Catholic Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul. Then we make our way across the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge, descending back to the river to walk into the city alongside the attractive Floating Harbour. There is time to visit another superb church, St Mary Redcliffe, before passing through the historic city centre to finish at Bristol's Anglican Cathedral.
Evensong is scheduled for 5.15pm. Return to Sea Mills is by bus or train.
Cost: £30. Bring your own lunch.
