Glastonbury Way Pilgrim trail
Saturday 15th February 2025 - 7.5 miles / 5 hours
Glastonbury has drawn visitors and pilgrims for centuries, those attracted to the legend of Joseph of Arimathea and the plating of the Glastonbury Thorn, those drawn to the legends of King Arthur and the Holy Grail, those who believe that ley lines of power converge here, and many more. The town has many sacred places which continue to attract people of all kinds of faiths and spiritualities.
This circular walk follows the Glastonbury Way and explores many of Glastonbury's spiritual sites, starting at the ruined medieval Abbey. The walk takes you to some peaceful churches, sacred springs and wells, up to the hill where the original Glastonbury thorn tree was located and culminates with a climb to the tower of St Michael on Glastonbury Tor.
On this pilgrimage we will seek to practice some pilgrimage disciplines, such as attentiveness and slowing down.
Cost: £45, including admission to Glastonbury Abbey and the Chalice Well. Bring your own lunch or purchase something to eat en route.
