West of England Day Pilgrimages
From our base in the village of Pill, near Bristol, at the end of the Revived Camino Ingles route, Pilgrim Pathways runs most of its pilgrimage walks in the West of England. This region has a rich spiritual heritage, with ancient prehistoric monuments, the mystical centre of Glastonbury, the cathedral cities of Gloucester, Bristol, Bath, Wells and Salisbury.
There are delightful and dramatic landscapes, including the Cotswold and Mendip hills, and quiet and attractive byways and villages to explore. The region hosts some ancient thoroughfares and boundaries such as the Ridgeway and Offa's Dyke. More recently, pilgrimage walks have been created or rediscovered, such as the Glastonbury Water Way from Bath to Glastonbury and the Revived English Camino, which runs from Droitwich to Pill.
Our pilgrimage walks enable you to explore some of the well-known spiritual heritage of the region, as well as lesser known and visited sacred sites.
